Our signature seasoning blend offers a perfect balance of fresh Korean red pepper flavor and the staple ingredients of dashima, garlic, onion, ginger and anchovy fish sauce. Anchored by the smoky fruitiness of gochugaru 고춧가루, Yoli Yangnyum provides a savory profile that enhances any dish.
This versatile seasoning can be used (but isn’t limited to) for banchan 반찬, kimchi 김치, muchim 무침, marinades, and spreads & dips. Bold & flavorful on its own, it also serves as an incredible base to customize, especially for making kimchi.

 

What about Gochujang 고추장?

Yoli Yangnyum and gochujang share the primary ingredient of gochugaru, but differ in their roles in the kitchen. The more sophisticated older (fermented) cousin, gochujang, adds depth with soybeans and glutinous rice. Yoli Yangnyum is fresh and bright, offering a lively burst of flavor. Both are distinct and can be used individually, but together they make a dynamic pairing—gochujang adds richness, while Yoli Yangnyum brings balance and brightness to your cooking.
